MedCity News: Why Are Primary Care Physicians Optimistic About AI?

MedCity News recently published an article featuring Elation's latest survey results on the impact of AI. The story also features insights from Elation's Vice President of Engineering and AI Innovation Lead -- Phil Tornroth. As Phil explains in the article, "AI presents a huge opportunity to remove a significant chunk of providers’ administrative burden — all with the ultimate goal of maximizing the time clinicians have to spend with their patients." 

Phil goes on to advocate for the importance of AI tools that are built with the clinician in mind and with the objective of stregthening the patient-clinician relationship: “Instead of perpetuating a fear that AI is savvy enough to replace experienced physicians whose knowledge and work is needed especially during the industry’s unprecedented shortage, I’m seeing and continue to predict the opposite. AI can strengthen physicians and give them more power when the technology is used effectively,” he said.
