MedCity News Recaps HLTH Webinar: The Case for Better Primary Care Payment Models

Elation Health CEO Kyna Fong recently spoke at a webinar hosted by HLTH to advocate for the adoption of value-based care arrangements. As Fong shared at the webinar and by MedCity News, value-based care payment models support high-quality primary care that delivers better patient outcomes, in part by centering the provider-patient relationship. This is further made possible through innovative support from meaningfully designed healthcare technology.

According to Fong, healthcare technology should involve patients more in their care plan, fostering two-way conversations between physicians and patients for more collaboration, and empowering patients to be more active participants in their own healthcare–marking a significant change from what most EHRs are designed to do today.
