Elation hosts first Fall Physician Summit for Hawaii provider network November 30, 2016

Earlier this month, we hosted our first ever Physician Summit for our Hawaii community of users. This event was our biggest event to date — with almost 200 attendees in attendance at the Halekulani Hotel.

During the event, we were excited to hear from Senator Josh Green, MD an ER Physician at Kohala Hospital, 2009 Hawaii Physician of the Year, and Medical Director of Hawaii’s IPA. Dr. Green’s keynote address touched on the transition to value-based care in Hawaii and discussed new models of reimbursement for independent physicians.

At the event, attendees also had the chance to hear from physician peers during a panel led by four influential independent physicians that practice on the islands. These physicians shared insights on their journeys toward value-based reimbursement.

Finally, physicians in attendance had time to engage with other physicians within the Elation Provider Network and participate in a discussion with physician peers dedicated to providing high quality patient care on the Islands.

Overall, the event was an exciting opportunity for our team to spend quality time with Elation’s Hawaii community outside of a clinical setting. We’re excited about continuing to partner with Hawaii physicians to strengthen the patient-physician relationship and unite the trailblazing physicians that drive outstanding patient outcomes.
